Furthermore, adding volume to one area may change the perception of another, therefore we will consider the entire face as a canvas prior to injecting.

You may experience a little pressure or a ‘stinging’ sensation, like a slight pinch, as they’re being injected. We use a combination of Hyaluronic Acid and anaesthetic to provide a comfortable treatment.

Results can last from a few months to many years, depending on the type of filler used, what area of the face or body is injected and your individual metabolism. Your injector will work with you in your consultation to achieve your desired outcome.

Treatments usually take between 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the amount of filler.

Dermal fillers, widely used for facial rejuvenation, come with inherent safety considerations, particularly concerning vascular occlusions. Vascular occlusions occur when the filler inadvertently enters blood vessels, impeding blood flow. Though infrequent, this complication can lead to severe consequences, including tissue necrosis.

Tissue necrosis, the death of cells due to inadequate blood supply, is a rare but severe consequence of vascular occlusions. When blood flow is compromised, tissues can undergo irreversible damage, leading to scarring and deformities.

Mitigating these risks involves meticulous injection techniques by highly trained professionals who understand facial anatomy. Additionally, practitioners must be vigilant in identifying early signs of vascular compromise and possess the skills to manage such complications promptly.

These complications are treated with Hyalase which Q-Tox always ensures that it has plenty on hand, and there are strict protocols on how we administer fillers to minimise the risk of vascular occlusions from occurring. Other risks include bleeding, bruising and swelling although these generally subside in 4 – 14 days. Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen and excessive alcohol before and within 24 hours of the treatment to decrease the risk of bruising.
