The cost of a breast augmentation starts from $7,990. Final costs depend on a range of factors including what kind of surgery is most suitable for you and your aesthetic goals, the complexity of the surgery, and your individual anatomy. Our plastic surgeons use a combination of specialty 3D imaging and thorough clinical assessment to determine this during your consultation.
There is a small risk of difficulty breast feeding after undergoing a breast augmentation, however there is certainly no danger to the child being breast fed. All our surgeons are specialist plastic surgeons who take care in going through the procedure with you during your consultation to ensure you understand the risks involved.
Time off work to recover is usually around one week, and vigorous exercise can usually be resumed after six weeks.
You will be scheduled for a post-operative visit to ensure your recovery is smooth and that there are no unexpected complications.
When selecting which implants are most appropriate for you, your surgeon will consider your body type, how much breast tissue you have to cover the implants, and what look you desire including the size, shape, type and projection of the implant. Both have a silicone shell and only the fluid inside differs. They offer different shape and texture options. The choice between the two will depend on the results you are looking for. At Q-Tox and during your consultation with Plastic Surgery Partners, you will see a sample of both implants, as well as the benefits so you can make a well-informed decision. You will need to consider between a natural, teardrop looking shape, or a round shape with upper pole fullness. The choice between round and teardrop is not as important as the choice of projection.
Other Procedures FAQs
Immediately after surgery, grogginess and impaired eyesight is normal.
Three to five days post, stitches will be removed, with residual bruising and swelling expected for up
to three weeks.
Expect to return to work after seven to days.
You will need to wear a splint to support the new shape of the nose, if internal work was needed
then internal splits are also placed.
Expect to feel like yourself again after one week, although bruising may persist for two to three
weeks.
During the post op period, a prescribed nasal spray is used to help reduce inflammation.
The first few days of swelling and bruising are at their worst, though light activity may resume by
days five to ten. At this point, stitches are also removed.
Over the following weeks residual swelling and bruising is present you will feel like yourself again.
After four weeks, expect to resume normal activities, though minor swelling and bruising can take 1
year to subside.
Initially, you will need to wear a compression garment to support and contour your new shape as
well as limit physical activity.
After one to two weeks, expect a significant reduction in pain, and a return to light work,
compression garments still need to be worn.
At week three to five you will feel normal, though expect residual swelling to be present, but visible
results start to show.
Over the following weeks majority of bruising and swelling with subside, compression garments are
no longer required, and all activity can resume. This is when you will see the final result.
